D&D Live Session#4
I attended my #4 session of D&D live. This session we were recruited by "Steve" to retrieve a bird statue from the sunken city. We were also looking for a bird lady corpse and other sunken treasure. What's the saying 3 birds, 1 stone? It was an easy sell, everyone from the previous mission signed on with a plus one. Kalina took a break from her newly found freedom (her rumspringa). She is busy bartering and making deals for her upcoming trip to the dooms day vault. She has been busy gathering seeds, researching flowers, plants, trees, teaching herself botanical watercolor. She also has taken a liking to fine jewelry and metal smithing. She is weary of her knowledge of the great celebrimbor and his part in the current state of the world. Her jewelry must be kept secret, but that's how all great downfalls start with secrets that turn into lies.
I'm a little confused as to how last time it took us hours to travel to the sunken city and we had to ride on the back of a giant bird. Yet this time we request supplies a day in advance and just show up at the city gates. Something doesn't add up, but I attribute that to the "type" of campaign I'm involved in. I have yet to figure out the formal name, but if we submit an idea to the DM, she does her best to make it happen. The Dwarf seems like he has been studying and planning for this trip well in advance. We have a magical breathing bubble and slap on gills. Things are going swimmingly until a giant squid appears. All hell breaks loose and we attack round after round, until we eventually kill the beast.
The DM confesses that she had planned this session so that we would die. I guess practicing my dice rolls payed off. Another great session, but I have to say I left both dehydrated and falling asleep 😴. I see real life provision are just as important as in game provisions.
I was most impressed with the dwarfs spell to restore books that had been under water and completely submerged. It was achieved using a magical bookmark. Where can I get one of them? He also suggests we return to save more books 📚, I'm in.
